In 1921, Los Cinco Pintores was formed to exhibit their art as a group. Will Schuster(Zozobra)
, Fremont Ellis, Willard Nash, Walter Mruk, and Joseph Bakos called Canyon Road their home. They are recognized as the first Modernist group in New Mexico.
